To celebrate the launch of its 4 new coffee varieties, Douwe Egberts decided to invite the crop of the Belgian (food)bloggers and treat them to a evening of coffee tasting.
After a short introduction and history of the Douwe Egberts company, master blender André Hoinkis educated the crowd on the different types of coffee beans and how different factors including the origin, method, blend and roasting influence the taste of the end product. And then put it into practice, letting the participants develop their very own blend.
Being Princess Misia’s other half and having joined her to a few foodie events before, I’ve gotten to know some of them as well. It was good to see some ‘old faithfuls’ again, like Mr Spinelli, Christian, Stijn & his better half Carmen.
